Winter Weather Advisory continues until midnight

All of western Kentucky is now under a Winter Weather Advisory this evening as rain has changed over to snow and created slick driving conditions.

Christian, Todd, Trigg, Caldwell, Logan, Lyon, Hopkins and Muhlenberg County Schools are closed Tuesday, in addition to Dawson Springs Independent Schools.  Stewart County, Tennessee Schools are on a two-hour delay.

The advisory was expanded to include Christian, Todd, Trigg and Muhlenberg counties and goes until midnight.

Forecasters say areas along the Tennessee border could receive up to an inch of snow, while counties to the north could see one to two inches.

Traveling could become difficult during the wintry precipitation, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Temperatures will fall into the teen tonight and combine with gusty winds to create the potential for flash freezing of any water remaining on roads.

Anyone driving tonight should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination.
