District 8 soccer is down to only three teams after Heritage Christian Academy confirmed to WHOP Sports on Tuesday that it would not field a team in 2026.
HCA Athletics Director Stephanie Stallins said the school does not have the numbers for a team, but the school is hopeful that interest in soccer will pick up in the future.
With the consolidation of Hopkinsville and Christian County high schools into the new Christian County High School, that leaves only Christian County, University Heights Academy, and Fort Campbell competing in District 8 soccer this season.
HCA struggled to have a team in 2025 and recorded a 1-25-1 record over the past two seasons.
