The Hoptown Hoppers announced the signing of two more players for the 2026 season on Tuesday.
Center fielder Alex Maguire comes to Hopkinsville from the United States Sports Academy. He hit .302 with 20 RBI this spring and is the third player from the school to join the Hoppers. Teammates Dom Hartman and Kade Wall already have been announced as playing for Hoptown this summer.
Meanwhile, right-handed pitcher Evan Woodward is coming to the Hoppers from Saginaw Valley State and played 13 games this spring. He finished the season with an 8.56 ERA with 14 strikeouts and 11 walks. He also recorded one save.
Meet the Hoppers is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 27 at Camo Caravan. Opening night is May 29 against Madisonville at the Hopkinsville High School Tiger Field.
