Farm Credit Mid-America names local students to prestigious scholars program

Farm Credit Mid-America has selected 25 college students from seven states to be a part of their 2026 Scholars Program Cohort, including Kentucky, and even some local names.

The Farm Credit Mid-America Scholars Program provides college sophomores and juniors with $5,000 in scholarship funds over a two-year period, and according to a news release, those scholars will also participate in an immersive, week-long learning and travel experience. That week will focus on leadership development, financial education and community impact.

The winners from Kentucky include Nate Crumbley, Jacob Rudy, Tyren Harris Martin and Christian County native and one time WHOP co-op student, Mollie Goode, all set to attend the University of Kentucky. Other Kentucky students are Christian County native Maddie Hedge and McKinley Brooks, attending Murray State University, and Mason Lovell of the University of Tennessee.

Over the past decade, Farm Credit Mid-America has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships and experiential learning experiences for students pursuing careers that help strengthen rural America.
