HCA’s Tejada steps down as softball coach

Heritage Christian Academy softball coach Ashley Tejada has stepped down so she can spend more time with her family.

“This decision did not come easily, as the relationships built with each of the players, parents, staff, and supporters—have been a true blessing in my life,”Tejada said “However, I feel called to enter a new season where I can dedicate more time to training with my oldest daughter and be fully present for my youngest daughter’s extracurricular activities. This is a precious time in our family’s journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to embrace it wholeheartedly.”

Tejada also thanked the HCA parents and staff for their support.

“To the incredible parents and fans—thank you for your unwavering support. Your encouragement from the stands, your trust in the process, and your commitment to our athletes have made all the difference. I will always cherish the sense of community and purpose we shared through this program.”

Tejada wished her players the best of luck.

“To my players: You are strong, capable, and filled with potential. Continue to lead with heart, play with purpose, and never forget that excellence is built through consistency, character, and faith. Keep showing up, giving your best, and lifting one another up—you are the future of this program, and it is bright.”
