Clarksville Northeast jumped out to a 9-0 lead after three innings and defeated visiting University Heights Academy 12-3 Monday in a five-inning high school softball game.
UHA (2-2) scored three runs in the top of the fifth as Emily Dilday, Brooke Hancock, and Katherine Wood each drove in a run, although the Lady Blazers were held hitless.
The Lady Blazers are back in action Thursday in a District 8 game at home against Heritage Christian Academy.
