The Christian County High School wrestling team placed third out of 18 teams on Saturday at the Ohio County Duals.
The Colonels defeated Greenwood (70-10) and South Warren (71-12) before falling to Fort Campbell (41-39) in the semifinals. Christian County edged Montgomery County 39-36 in the consolation semifinals.
Undefeated wrestlers for Christian County included Kevondre Young (126 Pounds), Dane Miller (144), Tavontay Martinez (165) and Treshan Crenshaw (285).
Malachi James, Bosa Ogbes, and Isaiah Davidson also won three matches on the day for the Colonels.
Hunter Jorgenson, Nathan Harrison, Marquis Hart, Markee Atwell, Deacon Harrison, and DeAsian Harris had two wins for Christian County, who goes to Louisville this Saturday for the King of the Bluegrass.
