The Christian County Colonels honored their 15 senior soccer players Monday night by routing visiting Hopkins County Central Storm 7-1.
Noah Davis scored in the 16th minute on an assist from Christian Lopez for a 1-0 lead. Jaden Wolf made it 2-0 in the 36th minute on an assist from Lopez and Lopez scored again three minutes later for a 3-0 advantage that the Colonels held at halftime. Jensen Nolte provided the assist on Lopez’s second goal.
In the second half, the Colonels blew the game open with four goals.
Mason Malone scored on a penalty kick in the 49th minute and Lopez added his third goal of the night in the 71st minute for a 5-0 lead. Leland Creamer provided the assist.
Alex Hale got into the scoring column with a goal on an assist from Wolf in the 78th minute and then Wolf added another goal a minute later on an assist from Creamer.
Malone earned the win in goal with eight saves.
The Colonels (10-6) finish their regular season Thursday at Lyon County.
