UTV accident in Logan County results injuries, an arrest

A UTV accident in Logan County reportedly resulted in an man suffering severe injuries and another man being arrested after misinforming law enforcement early Saturday morning.

According to a report from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, they received an automated alert from LIFE360 regarding a severe motor vehicle accident on Keysburg Road near Prentice Lawrence Road in Adairville.

In the area deputies reportedly located the UTV 50 yards from the roadway that overturned multiple times and ejecting the driver. The driver was located and identified as Bo Bryant of Adams. Bryant was found to be severely injured and was transported by ambulance to Northcrest Hospital.

According to the report, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the wreck.

After the LIFE360 alert was received, the Logan County Emergency Communications Center made contact with Devon Crenshaw of Springfield. The alert came from Crenshaw’s phone, but he reportedly told the ECC that nobody had been hurt.

After investigating, deputies reportedly found that Crenshaw was a passenger in the UTV at the time of the wreck and gave the ECC false information which caused a delay in emergency services responding to the scene.

Crenshaw was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in public and first-degree wanton endangerment.
