Fire department invites community to car seat installation clinic

The Hopkinsville Fire Department is hosting a car seat clinic to inspect child car seats and provide demonstrations on how to properly install them on Saturday.

From the fire department, Payton Rogers and Nathan Stewart appeared on WHOP recently to share what the car seat clinic will include and why they are hosting the event.

Rogers says they are hosting the clinic, because installing a car seat properly can be challenging and along with performing installs and inspections, they will be giving away some car seats as well.

Rogers says the instructions that come with car seats often feature different age and weight requirements and at the clinic, car seat technicians will be able to provide their insight.

For those who may not be able to attend the clinic, Rogers says they can call to make a car seat inspection or installation appointment by calling the department at 270-890-1400.

The fire department’s car seat clinic is set for Saturday at Fire Station Four at 9505 Eagle Way Bypass from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
