Hopkinsville man charged with child pornography possession

A Hopkinsville man has been charged following investigation into possession of child pornography by the Hopkinsville Police Department. 

According to the police report, an internet messaging site determined that a user was in possession of child sexual abuse material and alerted the police department. Police were able to identify 36-year-old Jerry Meadows Jr. as the user who allegedly uploaded three separate images or videos. 

A search warrant was executed on Meadows’ cellphone, which reportedly revealed 11 additional videos containing child sexual abuse material, some of which portrayed victims under the age of 12.

Meadows was charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor over the age of 12 and possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12.
