Hopkinsville police arrest Missouri man for assaulting officer

Officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department arrested Tyler Miles of Noxapater, Missouri after he was reportedly publicly intoxicated and assaulted an officer on Friday.

According to a report from Police, they were dispatched to the James E. Bruce Convention Center in reference to a subject who was intoxicated and belligerent. At the scene Miles was detained on the ground and was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

When officers attempted to handcuff Miles, he reportedly began resisting arrest, made threats of harm and head butted an officer.

Miles was charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication, third-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree criminal mischief.
