Investigation leads to Hopkins County man’s arrest for crimes against children

An undercover investigation by Kentucky State Police led to the arrest of 46-year-old Henry Strader of Hopkins County for charges connected to child sexual exploitation offenses on Friday.

According to KSP the investigation that led to Strader’s arrest was conducted by their Electronic Crime Branch after they found that Strader was allegedly using electronics to obtain a minor online. The investigation led to KSP executing search warrants on two locations in Madisonville.

KSP seized the equipment Strader reportedly used to communicate with minors and the equipment is undergoing examination at KSP’s forensic laboratory.

Strader was charged with first-degree official misconduct, distribution of obscene material to minors, 10 counts of procuring a minor by electronic means and possession of material portraying the sex performance of a minor.

Strader is currently lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
