A Hopkinsville man was injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Pennyrile Parkway Saturday afternoon.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department report, a vehicle operated by 80-year-old James Dickerson of Hopkinsville was traveling in the area of the 0 mile marker when he thought he pulled out in the front of someone and veered left to switch lanes.
However, he was already in the far-left hand lane and went into the gravel median of the Parkway, where he collided with the bridge overpass of Lovers Lane and the vehicle began to catch fire.
Dickerson was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
