The Princeton Police Department is investigating after a teenager was killed in a fiery, single-vehicle crash on Old Madisonville Road early Wednesday morning.
According to a news release, officers responded to the 800 block of Old Madisonville Road around 2:45 a.m. and upon arrival, found a vehicle that overturned in the roadway and on fire. Officers were able to pull a 15-year-old from the vehicle, who told them there were other occupants.
Two other teenagers, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old, had been able to get out of the vehicle and were knocking on doors in the neighborhood in an attempt to get help.
A 14-year-old of Paducah was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Caldwell County Coroner.
Preliminary investigation reportedly revealed that the vehicle had been southbound on Old Madisonville Road when it left the east side of the roadway and struck an earthen embankment.
