A big fundraiser to support the historic Alhambra Theatre in Hopkinsville is coming up quick, and people are urged to get their tickets now before they’re sold out.
The Hoptown Holiday Hopfest is set to take place November 25, and the featured act this year is Lonestar, who has charted over twenty singles on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, and this includes nine hits ranking number 1 on the charts.
Pennyroyal Arts Council Executive Director Margaret Prim spoke with WHOP recently and says it coincides with Shop Small Saturday, and so people can do some holiday shopping when they come in to watch the show that starts at 7 p.m. that evening.
She says all money raised goes right back into maintaining the historic theater that people love, and this year they hope to make some repairs to damages caused by lightning earlier this year.
The Arts Council’s Live Season at the Alhambra will kick off soon as well, and Prim gave a quick rundown on what shows people can expect over the next several months.
Tickets for the Holiday Hopfest, or to individual shows in the Live Season, can be purchased online on the Pennyroyal Arts Council website, which is where you can also look into picking up some season passes.
