Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of North Main Street and East Mound Park Avenue in Marion.
According to a news release, the single-vehicle crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, and preliminary investigation revealed that 49-year-old William Keene of Sturgis was operating a motorcycle eastbound West Mound Park Avenue when he lost control of the motorcycle for an unknown reason in the intersection and struck a telephone pole.
He was transported to the Crittenden County Community Hospital, where he would succumb to his injuries. A passenger on the motorcycle was not injured.
