The Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority has issued a boil water advisory for customers in the Crofton area.
According to a news release, a contractor that was working in the area damaged a 6 inch water main at the corner of Church and Anderson Street in Crofton Thursday afternoon. Out of caution, HWEA is issuing a boil water advisory for all HWEA in Crofton, except customers residing on Castleberry-Crofton Road.
Customers are advised to boil water for at least two minutes before consumption.
HWEA will notify customers when the advisory has been lifted.
