A two-vehicle crash on Antioch Road in Christian County Thursday afternoon sent one to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and another by helicopter to a hospital in Nashville.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Logan Young of Hopkinsville was heading west on Antioch when he attempted to pass a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Frances Johnson of Hopkinsville who was slowing to make a left turn into a driveway.
Young’s vehicle struck Johnson’s in the front drivers’ side, before continuing down an embankment, which caused the vehicle to rollover before coming to stop in the roadway.
Young was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville with a severe head injury.
Johnson was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of head and neck pain.
