One arrested, charged with murder in shooting death of teen in Clarksville

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a teenager at Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Holiday Drive on September 6 in Clarksville. 

According to a news release from the Clarksville Police Department, investigation has lead to the arrested of 26-year-old Quantavious Golliday—he is facing charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during commission of a dangerous felony, possession of prohibited weapons, and trafficking in a controlled substance. 

He was located and taken into custody Wednesday night at a location on Providence Boulevard. Golliday reportedly had several different narcotics in his possession, including fentanyl.

The 17-year-old victim would die of his injuries at the hospital following the shooting on September 6. There was a 17-year-old female passenger in the vehicle at the time of the incident who was not injured.

The investigation continues and other charges are pending.
