HHS Girl’s Soccer Player Kaydon Coats wins Player of the Week

This week’s Jennie Stuart Orthopedic-Michael Venable State Farm Player of the Week is Kaydon Coats.

Kaydon is a freshman at Hopkinsville High School and is also a member of the Lady Tiger soccer program.

Despite her youth as a freshman, Kaydon has been an integral part to her team and explained how she has been playing soccer since her early childhood days.

Kaydon leads her team in goals scored with 14 and is also tied for first in assists with six on the year.

However, as exciting as scoring goals can seem, Kaydon explained that her team is her favorite part about playing.

When it comes to scoring Coats did say that she set a goal for herself to get 20 goals in the season and with 5 more games in the regular season, it seems to be an attainable feat.

A “game changer” is how head coach Jeffrey Addison described Coats. “She’s a hard worker and does whatever we ask of her,” he continued to say.

The Lady Tigers are currently 7-3-2 on the season and have a big district matchup against University Heights this Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Stadium of Champions.
