The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating a vehicle versus bicycle collision that sent a woman to the hospital for serious injuries and the alleged driver fled from.
According to the report, a vehicle operated by 29-year-old Elonzo Simmons of Hopkinsville reportedly struck a bicycle operated by 37-year-old Jenna Gray of Hopkinsville at the intersection of Morningside Drive and Cayce Meade Drive Monday night.
Gray was thrown from the bicycle and was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for severe injuries to her head and arms.
Simmons reportedly fled from the scene on foot, leaving three children in the car, who all complained of head injuries and were taken to Jennie Stuart for treatment.
