Local boy scout working to replace bridge at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West

A local boy scout is taking up the call to service, as he’ll be working to replace the bridge at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

Coalton Ingram with Boy Scout Troop 13 in Hopkinsville will be replacing the bridge—which has been in need of repair for some time—as his Eagle Scout project. Christian Fiscal Court Magistrate Russ Guffey says it’s a true act of service that benefits all those who visit departed loved ones at the cemetery.

He says Ingram will be accepting donations for the project, with information on how to donate available through Maryl Ingram at maryl.ingram@gmail.com.

The project got off to a good start, as David Jones with Fortera Credit Union and the Christian County Chamber of Commerce provided $500 in funding to Ingram to get going.
