A Hopkinsville man is facing numerous charges following a foot pursuit in the area of East Ninth and Liberty Street Saturday morning.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers were called to a collision on East 21st Street where one of the drivers had left the scene of the accident, heading towards Fort Campbell Boulevard.
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Ricky Bradshaw of Hopkinsville, who reportedly got out of the vehicle once stopped and fled on foot. A chase began, with the report stating that Bradshaw and officers engaged in a struggle, with a taser issued twice. He reportedly attempted to toss a bag containing synthetic drugs into the roadway, where it was located.
He was taken into custody and charged with fleeing or evading police, tampering with physical evidence, possession of synthetic drugs, driving on a DUI suspended license, resisting arrested, no tail lamps and no registration plates.
