Temporary new all-way stop intersection established in Cadiz

A traffic light on East Main Street at Lakota Drive in Cadiz is in red flashing mode until Friday evening, creating a temporary all-way stop.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the intersection will function that way until about 8 p.m., on Friday. Engineers will monitor the intersection at various times of the day this week to determine if making it a permanent all-way stop will improve traffic flow at the site.

The Lakota Drive intersection is about one mile west of the U.S. 68 East intersection, between Carlton Lane and Eastgate Drive in Cadiz.

Approximately 8,200 vehicles travel through the intersection in an average day.
