Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief teams in Hopkinsville assisting with cleanup from March 3 storms

Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief teams are in Hopkinsville this week lending their hands to help neighborhoods clean up from the March 3 severe storms and historic winds that knocked down trees across the city.

Trenton resident Carrie Joy Brookshire is among those in the city and says volunteers are cleaning up trees and limbs in neighborhoods still needing help.

She says their relief teams have traveled the country over the years responding to help however they can after all types of disasters.

The two neighborhoods where the volunteers are working were identified as needing assistance ahead of time.
