The Western Kentucky State Fair returns to Hopkinsville at the end of June and people can expect new features with their favorite events.
Fair Board President Brad Hewell says the fair gets underway on June 23 and goes until July 1, and they’re excited that the new Livestock Barn should be completed just in time for fair-goers to enjoy, along with other renovations.
He says they’ll have some new events alongside their fan-favorites and traditional carnival rides and games.
Hewell says a full schedule of events can be found on their website and Facebook event page, with the Demolition Derby set for June 24, antique tractor pulls on June 25, traditional tractor pulls on June 30 in the grand and much more.
Several nights will have armband for rides and this fair will also have Faith and Family Night, Pennyrile Electric Night, Military and First Responders Night and others. The deadline for those who want to participate in any pageants is June 19. For more information, go online to westernkentuckystatefair.org
