The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating a shooting on Evergreen Park Drive that sent one to the hospital.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, the shooting occurred around 12 a.m. Saturday when officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Evergreen Park Drive. A victim, who has not been named, was struck in the buttocks by a fragmented round during the shooting, sending them to the hospital.
There are no suspects listed on the report and the incident is being investigated as second-degree assault.
