Hopkinsville police are investigating after a man said he was shot while walking on East Second Street early Sunday morning.
Sgt. Mike Atkins says 69-year old Joseph Bradshaw of Hopkinsville told investigators he had been walking in the area of Vine Street just before 1:30 a.m. when a pickup stopped near him and the occupants got out and began firing at him.
The victim fled the area on foot and had his hand wrapped when officers found him at his home nearby.
He was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of an apparent gunshot wound to his right hand.
No arrests have been made and Sgt. Atkins says the incident remains under investigation.
