CCHS graduates 257 seniors in Class of 2023

Christian County High School bid farewell and good luck to the Class of 2023 Friday afternoon, as 257 seniors accepted their diplomas during graduation.

All students were recognized and celebrated for their accomplishment in graduating from high school and now they look ahead to what comes next, whether that be furthering their education, entering the workforce, enlisting the Armed Services or wherever else their futures lead.

Keynote speaker Vice Killebrew congratulated the graduates on their accomplishment, and told them to be ready for whatever comes their way in the future. He advised them to maintain mental fortitude, because it’s easy to do good when things are good, but you have to do good when things are bad too.

He urged them against misreading life as it comes at them, because life treats us all the same, no matter where we come from.

There were five students with perfect attendance for the entirety of their senior year, and a special recognition was given to graduate Damien Lamont Lewis and the Top Ten students.

The Valedictorian for the Class of 2023 is Timothy Hanley and the Salutatorian is Morgan Overton.
