Hopkinsville High School saw 223 graduates accept their diplomas Friday night, as they bid farewell the Class of 2023 at the Stadium of Champions.
Hopkinsville High boasted of two Salutatorians this year in Allie Fort and Quinn Miller, and the Valedictorian was Carolina Chaudoin. Christian Circuit Judge Andrew Self was the keynote speaker, and he gave them the advice of not letting things outside of their control get the best of them, and the things they can always control are their actions and their attitude.
He urged them to take a team mentality heading forward, because no matter where you go, you’ll be on all kinds of teams throughout your life.
The school took time to recognize graduates of honor, including the Top Ten Honor students, along with those students who have perfect attendance, and also those who have already joined the Armed Forces, and classmates cheered and applauded as fellow graduate Archimedes Ebbay accepted his diploma.
A moment of silence was held in remembrance of Coach Pablo Sanchez, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year.
