>>Investigation Launched Into Suspicious Bets

(Tuscaloosa, AL)  — The University of Alabama is firing their baseball coach over gambling allegations.  The school said in a statement that Brad Bohannon was terminated for violating the “standards, duties, and responsibilities” of university employees.  A Las Vegas-based gambling monitoring company put out a warning last week, involving suspicious bets involving the Crimson Tide’s series against LSU.  The starting pitcher was pulled an hour before game time.

>>Falcons Interested In Trading For Ryan Tannehill

(Nashville, TN)  —  The Titans and Falcons nearly made a blockbuster trade on draft night.  Simon Hunter with the Action Network reports Tennessee had conversations with Atlanta surrounding Ryan Tannehill and the eighth overall pick.  Hunter said, “Atlanta was going to trade for Tannehill.  That was a real thing.  They couldn’t work out the money.”  Hunter says a trade is still possible midseason.  The Titans traded up to take Kentucky quarterback Will Levis in the second round.

(Undated)  —  The road to the NBA Finals continued with a Western Conference showdown on Thursday night.  The Golden State Warriors steamrolled the Los Angeles Lakers 127-100 at the Chase Center to even the series at one game apiece.  Klay Thompson paced the defending champions with 30 points, while Steph Curry pitched in a 20-point, 12-assist double-double.

>>Hunter Dickinson Commits To Kansas

(Lawrence, KS)  —  The top-ranked transfer in the men’s college basketball transfer portal is making his decision.  Michigan star center Hunter Dickinson has announced his commitment to Kansas.  Dickinson will join the Jayhawks after three seasons with the Wolverines.  The 7-foot-1 big man averaged 18.5 points, nine rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game this past season.

 

>>Tommy Fleetwood Leading Wells Fargo Championship

(Charlotte, NC)  —  Tommy Fleetwood is leading the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte after the first round.  Fleetwood is sitting atop the leaderboard after shooting a six under 65 to open the tournament.

 

>>NASCAR Cup Series Field Battles At Kansas Speedway

(Kansas City, KS)  —  The NASCAR Cup Series field is in Kansas this weekend for the Advent-Health 400.  Martin Truex Jr aims to win his second race in a row after taking home the checkered flag in the Wurth 400 at Dover.  Ryan Blaney is also looking to keep the momentum going after placing in the top-10 in each of the last three races.  Blaney is fifth in the standings while Ross Chastain, Christopher Bell, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr make up the top four.  The green flag waves from Kansas Speedway on Sunday.

 

>Nashville SC Hosts Chicago In MLS Match Tomorrow

(Nashville, TN)  —  Nashville SC is back on the MLS pitch tomorrow hosting Chicago FC.  The club cruised to a 3-1 victory against Atlanta United last weekend.  The club has scored 11 goals and given up six over the first 10 matches of the season.  Nashville is fourth in the East with 15 points.  Chicago is 11th with 11 points.
