Assault suspect arraigned in Christian Circuit Court

A man accused of stabbing a woman in the eye with a broom handle was arraigned in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday.

Chad Love is charged with first-degree assault domestic violence and third-degree terroristic threatening, and Circuit Judge Andrew Self arraigned him Wednesday and set a pre-trial conference for February 22. Judge Self told Love he wasn’t entertaining any discussion on bond, but he would be willing to look at it if there’s no sign of a resolution by the pre-trial hearing.

Love is accused of stabbing a female victim in the eye with a broom handle while threatening her, causing a severe injury that required hospital treatment.  Medical personnel say that if more force had been used, the handle would have entered her brain and killed her.
