U.S. Senate candidate Charles Booker makes visit to Hopkinsville

The countdown to Election Day has begun and candidates are looking to do their final pushes in campaigning—including one candidate for the U.S. Senate—Charles Booker, who made a stop in Hopkinsville Friday.

Booker met with supporters and spoke with them about his western Kentucky tour he did earlier in the day, saying the energy he has seen from people has been inspirational.

He urged people to take advantage of the early voting option, saying it could still be expanded, and says now is the time to make your voices heard in the polls.

Booker says if elected, he’ll work towards getting quality healthcare, better paying jobs and safer communities for Kentuckians.

Booker is running as a Democrat on the ballot, challenging longtime incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Rand Paul.
