Kentucky Cruises Past Pikeville in Wednesday Exhibition

Four Kentucky players scored in double figures as the Cats blasted Pikeville 93-45 on Wednesday night in women’s basketball exhibition action at Memorial Coliseum. Ajae Petty led Kentucky with 15 points, while Robyn Benton and Jada Walker each added 14. Maddie Scherr had 13 points in the contest for the Cats. Kentucky used a superior size advantage, outscoring Pikeville 76-12 in the paint and outrebounding the Lady Bears 59-37. The Cats also distributed the ball well, dishing out 22 assists on 43 made baskets.

Tops Take Down Falcons in Opening Exhibition

WKU Hilltopper Basketball took down the Montevallo Falcons in an exhibition game inside E.A. Diddle Arena on Wednesday night, winning the game 93-65. The Hilltoppers had four players in double-figures while all 15 saw action on the court.

Racers Run Past Brescia in Exhibition Win

The Murray State Racers got their 2022-23 season going with a 102-57 exhibition victory Wednesday over the Brescia Bearcats at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky. The tune up sends MSU into their 98th season of collegiate basketball and on the road for the season opener (Nov. 7) against the Saint Louis Billikens. The Racers put six players in double-figures with 19 points from Rob Perry, while Quincy Anderson added 17. Kenny White, Jr., added 14, with 11 coming from Jamari Smith and Brian Moore, Jr., and 10 from JaCobi Wood, who also led the team with seven assists.

APSU slams Fisk, 89-64, in exhibition

Sean Durugordon scored a game-high 24 points, powering Austin Peay State University to an 89-64 exhibition win over Fisk, Wednesday, inside the Winfield Dunn Center. The Governors shot 62.2 percent (23-of-37) inside the arc, totaling 44 points in the paint, and 54.4 percent (31-of-57) overall. Austin Peay turned 22 Bulldogs’ turnovers into 30 points. Nate James’ squad recorded seven steals, led by Durugordon’s four.

Govs host Tusculum in Thursday night exhibition

Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team takes the court for the first time ahead of its 2022-23 and inaugural ASUN Conference season in a 6 p.m., Thursday exhibition game against Tusculum in the Winfield Dunn Center. Thursday’s exhibition is free to the public and offers fans the first chance to get a glimpse of the new-look Governors’ roster comprised of 10 newcomers.
