Dog rescued from Clarksville house fire

A dog was rescued from a house fire Tuesday morning on Twin Rivers Road in Clarksville.

Fire and Rescue officials say the family was not home when the fire apparently began in the kitchen about 7:45 a.m.

Montgomery County EMS administered oxygen to the dog after she was removed from the home and her condition was reportedly improving prior to further treatment at a veterinarian’s office.

The cause of the blaze that caused significant damage to the home is unknown and there were no injuries.
