After losing back-to-back games for the first time all season the Lady Blazers have now won six of their last seven including going five and one in Wreck at the Plex and flexing their muscle against in county opponent Hopkinsville on Tuesday night.
The first two sets started slow for UHA. They were nearly tied in set one at 8-7 before they rattled off a couple runs to make it 25-10.
Next they afforded the Lady Tigers ten points, and only led by two or three before rattling off another few runs to close out set two 25-14.
Set three finished out at 25-16, and as you can see that bodes well for Hopkinsville.
Sure UHA won in straight sets, as they were predicted to do I am sure.
However, both teams can walk away with positive thoughts.
For the Lady Blazers, they continue their hot streak and certainly look as if they are capable of just flipping a switch on the floor.
Would not mind to see them never let a team in a set though, dominate.
On the flip side, the Lady Tigers can look at this game and say they at multiple points had a state title level team within a point or two. Plus they improved every subsequent set meaning they do not give up and they make worthwhile adjustments.
Both teams now look to carry this positive outlook and energy into the Quad State Tournament beginning Friday at McCracken County.
