Pleasant temperatures, elevated fire danger this week, no big effects from Ian

It will be a pleasant fall weather-week in western Kentucky and current forecasts do not show what will be the remnants of Hurricane Ian having much of an impact on this region.

Mary Lamm with the National Weather Service in Paducah says it will be sunny with high temperatures fluctuation in the 70’s for the entire workweek.

The dry and sometimes windy conditions will create an elevated fire danger through at least Wednesday, so you might want to postpone any outdoor burning and be careful with anything that could spark a wildfire.

The remnants of Ian could bring some minor rain showers to the Pennyrile region late in the weekend, but no major impacts are expected at this time.
