Cardinals Down Miami (Ohio) in Fall Exhibition

MASON, Ohio – The University of Louisville baseball team outscored Miami (Ohio) 12-3 on Sunday in its first exhibition of the fall season. The game was played at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio. The Red hawks scored a run in the top of the first inning on Sunday, but the Cards tied it up in the second and took the lead in the third and never looked back.

No. 3 Louisville Knocks Off No. 9 Stanford 3-1

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Behind the one-two punch of Claire Chaussee’s 19 kills and Aiko Jones’ 12 kills and eight blocks, the No. 3-ranked University of Louisville volleyball team took down No. 9-ranked Stanford 3-1 in the first-ever meeting between the teams Saturday night in Maples Pavilion. Cards are 9-1.

Hilltoppers Down Indiana, 3-1

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Hilltopper Volleyball team looked to rebound Saturday afternoon as they played host to the Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana came out of the gates swinging in set one but the Hilltoppers regrouped and took the final three sets to claim a 3-1 victory. Senior Paige Briggs led the way for the Hilltoppers with 20 kills and 8 digs for 21.5 points.

Racers Not Enough for Samford at Non-Conference Finale

Murray State volleyball fell short in four sets against hosts, Samford, to end the week at Samford Invite, Sunday. The Racers come off a five-set thriller against Clemson, Saturday. A seesaw match all the way, the Racers managed to grab the second set 25 to 23 after losing the first. The Bulldogs took the third and fourth sets despite the Racers pushing them to the 20s.

Villacres Posts 12 Saves, Sooners Too Much For Murray State

Murray State battled with Oklahoma to a 2-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon at Cutchin Field as Jenna Villacres highlighted the match with 12 saves for the Racers. The dozen saves from Villacres is the second most in her career after she saved 13 shots against Samford in 2019. Villacres faced 17 shots from the Sooners with 14 being on goal. The Racers defense held OU to their lowest goal count since September 8 after the Sooners put up five and four goals in each of their last two games.

Baumgardt nets Govs’ first ASUN goal in 2-1 loss to Lipscomb

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Sophomore Alec Baumgardt scored on the second half’s opening kickoff, but Austin Peay State University soccer dropped its ASUN Conference opener, 2-1, to Lipscomb, Saturday, at Morgan Bros. Soccer Field.
