A tough night, and a tough season for the Lady Tigers. They battled as best they could narrowly failing to win set one 21-25. After that Apollo seemed to just overwhelm them. Next up is a Saturday rivalry matchup against the Lady Colonels the night after their football teams meet and just several days after their girls soccer teams met. Hoptown won the soccer game? Cam they win as favorites on the Gridiron and underdogs on the Volleyball court? We shall see!

It was the kind of performance you want to see late in the year from a team on the rise! The Tigers fought through some difficulty in the first half, shots that did not quite find the back of the goal and one that did but got taken off the board on a late offsides call. Ultimately though, with thirteen minutes remaining in the first half, Hoptown found the net and carried a 1-0 lead into halftime. Seeing them extend that with two second half goals, tells me this team also doesn’t rest or relax with a lead, they double down.  With the win they move to better than .500 for the first time and have split their last four games 2-2.
