COVID positivity rate back above 20 percent in Ky.

The COVID-19 positivity rate in Kentucky is back above 20 percent, as the state recorded a new 14,312 cases in the last week.

There were also a newly reported 76 deaths since last week’s report, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth up to 16,679 since the pandemic began. The positivity rate is now at 20.07 percent, a jump from 18.47 percent the week prior.

There are currently 621 individuals with COVID-19 in the hospital, 104 in the ICU and 28 on a ventilator.
