Ky. gains 12,381 new COVID-19 cases, 63 deaths

There were 12,381 newly reported COVID-19 cases in Kentucky in the last week, as the positivity rate reached just shy of 19 percent.

According to the weekly update, there were also 63 reported deaths, putting the death toll in the Commonwealth at 16,603 since the pandemic began.  The positivity rate reached 18.96 percent, a slight increase from the week prior.

There are currently 570 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 76 in the ICU and 26 on a ventilator.
