Hopkins Co. Central High School educator charged with sexual abuse

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hopkins County Central High School educator on charges of sexual abuse.

According to a news release, the sheriff’s office was contacted by the Hopkins County Board of Education in reference to an incident that occurred August 17 at Hopkins County Central High School where James Larson, an educator with the school, is alleged to have committed first-degree sexual abuse against a juvenile female student.

Following an investigation, detectives served an arrest warrant against Larson Monday at the Board of Education in Madisonville.  Larson was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
