Students returned to school Wednesday morning in Christian County and one local principal is expecting big things from her students, faculty and staff.
Nichole Poindexter is in her second year as principal at Hopkinsville Middle School and says the first day of school got off to a good start at her building.
She says the building was spruced up and modernized some over the summer and things are getting back to normal with families allowed more access.
Poindexter says her Tiger students enter the year with a theme to follow to achieve positive outcomes this year.
Todd County schools and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School also opened Wednesday and Thursday is the first day of school at UHA and in Trigg County.
