A man was arrested for felony assault following an incident Thursday morning at the Manhattan Motel on South Main Street.
Hopkinsville police charged 41-year old Genesis Bloomer of Hopkinsville with second-degree assault, with a report alleging he struck 22-year old Isaiah Jessup on the head with a hammer, causing minor injuries.
The incident happened about 9:30 a.m. and Bloomer was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
