South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council Associate Director Sharon Butts has been recognized among the 2022 Notable Women in Kentucky Politics and Government by the Kentucky Gazette.
According to a news release, The Kentucky Gazette accepts nominations for the Notable Women program and recognized fifty women from a variety of backgrounds. These women are known for getting things done at the local, regional, state, and federal level. Butts has served as served as the Associate Director for the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council since 2013 and has served as an economic development professional in South Western Kentucky since 2003.
Butts says, “I am humbled to have been nominated with forty-nine other professional women among the 2022 Notable Women in Kentucky Politics and Government. I am honored to be mentioned with so many outstanding women and so appreciative of the nomination. I pray that I am able to continue to meet and exceed the expectations that come with such an honor.”
