Clarksville police say the man ran off a bridge near Broadripple Drive and into the water, but was able to get out of the car and make it back to the shore safely with only minor injuries.
He was treated at the scene and investigation determined he had been allegedly driving impaired and was placed under arrest.
The vehicle’s lights remained on under the water and could be seen from the roadway.
