The Hopkinsville-Christian County Airport is one of several Kentucky airports receiving funds through the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program.
According to a news release, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Airport is set to receive just shy of $50,000 to go towards construction of a new apron—which is an area of the airport where aircraft are parked, refueled, boarded or other actions.
Hopkinsville-Christian County Airport Manager Sherry Key says, “Upgrades to our airport’s infrastructure are critical to maintaining proper safety and efficiency for the travelers we welcome to Christian County.”
The Muhlenberg County Airport is receiving approximately $26,000 in order to conduct a study at the facility.
