CCHD offering COVID vaccines for small children, free test kits to public

The Christian County Health Department is now offering COVID-19 vaccines for children as young as six-months old and there were 68 new cases in Christian County between Monday and Friday.

Spokesperson Cloie Rager says vaccines for children ages six-months to 11-years old are available at the Christian County Health Department every Wednesday on a walk-in basis from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Parent or guardian must be present for pediatric vaccines.

COVID-19 vaccines for individuals 12 years and older are available every Thursday on a walk-in basis from 7:30 a.m.– 4:00 p.m.

The Christian County Health Department is now offering free at home COVID-19 rapid test kits to the public at their front desk on Canton Street.

The COVID dashboard shows there are now 259 active cases in Christian County, with over half—139—between the ages of 22 and 59.
