There is a slight risk Thursday for severe weather across most of western Kentucky and middle Tennessee.
Strong storms will be most likely during the late afternoon and early evening hours, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah, which says damaging winds and large hail will be the primary threats and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
Heavy rain will also be possible and there could be standing water in the usual low-lying and poor drainage areas.
